Seminars & Workshops
Pawsitively Great Pets run a variety of seminar sessions around Melbourne both in conjunction with CHEWS Australia and with other like-minded professionals.  Our aim with seminars is to continue to improve the understanding of behaviour and training for pet owners and the professionals.

Our interest is also in developing the skill-set of trainers and enthusiasts.  Amanda has vast experience with local obedience dog clubs, including being an instructor for K9  Agility Dog Club and also a previous instructor for Croydon & District Obedience Dog Club.  Running classes with large volumes of dogs and owners, varying degrees of expertise and knowledge is difficult.  We hope that our seminars will provide instructors and volunteers the knowledge and skills to be able to run these classes and design the coursework to best suit each individual club.

Should you have any questions on how our workshops or seminars might best suit you - please don't hesitate to contact us!

Aggression Workshop

Workshop available upon request...

This workshop is specifically designed for instructors and local obedience clubs.  Often one of the main reasons that owners and their dogs come to group classes is for socialisation.  This can sometimes be due to their dog having, or developing poor social behaviour.  Managing these dogs in class can be difficult and often results in frustrated instructors, owners and other members of the class!

Our workshop is split into two parts - A seminar-style format where we work through the theory, develop your understanding of aggression and best ways to manage this in a class environment.   This is then followed up a month later with a workshop session where we actually put into practice what was discussed, trouble shoot what does/ doesn't work for your organisation/ club and develop your understanding as to the best management tools for your own class environment.

Contact us to discuss further how this workshop can work for your own club!
